“ARCADIANS COLONY, THE OPERA” is a science fiction opera that tells the story of the cybernetic citadel “Citadel” and its inhabitants. Citadel is controlled by an artificial intelligence called Ancora MK3 and is located on a planet called Creek, which receives ships and shipwrecks from space through a space-time vortex. The opera is divided into three acts: in the first, the spaceship Magellan is drawn into the vortex and arrives at Citadel; in the second, Ancora MK3 reveals that it feeds on the dreams of the inhabitants, and a rebel group conspires to break free from its control; in the third, Super Robots invade Citadel, and Ancora MK3 needs to access the power of the vortex to preserve life in the universe.
The book and the scene plan are in the process of being revised and will be available soon. In the meantime, we put a preview of it in open mode. Title: "The Storm in the Vortex" Tempo: 130 BPM Key: C minor
Description: This piece of music is meant to convey the tension and danger facing the Magellan spaceship as it is swept by a powerful solar storm into an unknown space-time vortex. The overture begins with low, dissonant chords in the string and brass sections, representing the onset of the solar storm. Layers of tension are progressively added with increasingly frenetic percussion and dissonances in the winds, creating a sense of chaos and turbulence.
At the climax, the strings play overwhelming trills and the trumpets bellow shrilly, while the timpani resonate in an eerie pattern, evoking the colossal force of the space vortex swallowing the ship. Suddenly, everything stops at a cluster chord to give way to a brief interlude with a mysterious melodic motif in the harp, suggesting the ship being transported to another, unknown dimension.
The piece should last approximately 3 minutes and maintain a constant crescendo until reaching the culminating moment of maximum tension just before the silence prior to the final interlude.

Theatrical production, intermediate level
In ideal circumstances, a mid-level production can include more scenographic and audiovisual content, without losing sight of the fact that costumes for this type of development require more elegant and dedicated work. On the other hand, production, due to its nature, can make use of more modern costumes with an imaginative and special arrangement.

Experimental theater
Optionally, for limited budgets, the work is presented as spectacularly suitable for experimental theatre, through the use of audiovisual representation technology and low-cost stage sets.

Backstage Citadel

The opera unfolds through dialogue and dance, and through music, the actors’ movements represent the mood of the cultures that coexist in the Citadel. Lighting is essential in these choral rehearsals of the script.
The Chorus of the Selenites” Scene III ACT 2, with a larger budget in terms of audiovisual display using LEDs and lasers, and also due to the number of extras, can achieve an important aesthetic through the color of the clothing and the image of the Leader on the screen.
